Watch a selection of videos I've created from documentaries, promotional, live events and short films.
I am a director, camera operator and editor who has experience working across different genres from corporate, documentaries, health and wellbeing videos and narrative fiction, as well as working in the experimental art installation and live performance events.
I have advanced skills in visual effects and can provide a professional unique weekly based service experience where the client, should they wish to be involved closely, will be continually updated on the progress of the film cut.
I have provided my services to companies all across the United Kingdom such as FremantleMedia UK, Sainsbury’s Supermarket. I have also provided services to small organisations in South Yorkshire, such as the Doncaster 1914-18 Heritage Project, Sainsbury’s Supermarket, Doncaster Community Arts (DARTS) and Doncaster’s local Mencap.
I have also worked further afield in South London for organisations such as University College London and Spa School.
Award Winning Projects
Over the years, I have created and produced a portfolio of films that have been selected and screened at the National Media Museum in Bradford, Edinburgh Fringe, South London Shorts which is a BFI Neighbourhood Cinema and the University of the Arts London.
In 2014, my documentary What is a Normal Life? (2014) was placed in the National Autistic Society film archive and in 2017, our documentary My Life with Puppets (2017) was distributed by FremantleMedia UK.
"I approached Jake McNeil because I was looking for someone to direct, film and edit a Qigong DVD. Jake helped me by his professional approach, vision and calming nature to produce a professional DVD way beyond my expectations.
I would recommend Jake McNeil without hesitation to anyone looking for a gifted, caring and professional filmmaker."
