Learning new skills in 2020 and now my next 3D model for 2021.

Unfortunately, life in 2020 was very different for everyone around the world. For me, as a filmmaker who loves creating documentaries based on real-life stories, it was very tough. Restrictions put all projects either on hold or scrapped entirely,

However, while the filmmaking world was put on hold, It's been a great opportunity for me to learn new skills in 3D and other areas, for example, electronics, gaming and business.

For the 3D side, I decided to download and install Blender, a free open-source 3D animation program. Then I decided to watch a few tutorials on BlenderGuru and Grant to understand the software and its capabilities.

Over the last year, I've documented all my work on my blog showing off the Doughnut, furniture and some animation sequences I've made. - Please take a look at these in the Blog Section.

In 2021, I decided to create my first Retro Styled Robot and here is the final result. A few things I will look at improving next time are: Smoothing the arms, more detail on the body and improvements to the legs by creating separate objects to replicate the old Retro Robot toy feel.

Lots of improvements to be made and I hope in 2021 will be the year that I combined my love for film with the skills I've learnt in 3D as a tool to support the films I envision to make.
